Tip of the Month Composition Refresher

Simplify

Don't try to include too much in the image. The viewer won't know what to look at. Try to keep whatever is in the frame to only those things that are essential to the subject and eliminate anything unnecessary to the subject. Remember that the outer edge of the frame is also part of the picture, and don't let something distracting on the fringes take your viewers' eyes away from your intended subject.

Image is taken down to the basics - simple, clean lines and no distracting background.
eagle
Distracting bright spots in the background make this image a candidate for digital cleanup.
